"This was our second trip and it was as good as the first. Only comment would be that at 7:15 they had run aout of a special we were offered but went to order it and it was no longer available. Very Disappointing."

"The new Grille at Peerce's is simplified from the Peerce's of yesteryear, with a more limited offering of casual cuisine. Missing are the former gourmet delights, but also missing are the men's jackets and ladies dresses, completing the change to a casual bistro, but in the hallmark Peerce's beautiful building and setting. The bar makes good drinks and was doing a nice business on a Tuesday night."

"Food and service was excellent but the noise level was deafening- couldn't hear the waitress, could hardly hear my husband sitting next to me- the rest. needs to invest in audio baffling or something to lower the noise level. This took away from the enjoyment of the dining experience. Low ceilings, brick walls and close tables - full rest. contributed to the extreme loud noise level."

"Reservations resulted in a comfortable window table resulting in a moderately quiet and enjoyable dinner with friends. Limited Menu but outstanding results from the kitchen for the dishes our group of four ordered. Good service, reasonable prices, good wine, terrific brisket all prompted our group to ask the question, "Hey when are you going to open for lunch?"."

"It was our first time back to "Peerce's". Pleasantly surprised; although it pretty much looked the same inside, but was freshened up, the food and service were both very good. It was very busy (good to see). The menu had a nice selection of entrees, salads, sandwiches - something for everybody at very reasonable prices. We will be back!"

"Sunday evening not the best time to go perhaps. Two Tv sets and a noisy crowd in the bar did not add to a birthday setting. We liked the polished wood tables and decor. The waitress was attentive but hurried and failed to hear my request for a second glass of chablis. The mahi mahi appetizer was excellent as was the crab cake. The salmon dry and the attendant salsa bland. The Smith Island cake delicious. It might be worth a second, daytime visit for lunch."

"We had an adequate dining experience. The food was fine... nothing particularly notable. (Though the Smith Island cake was especially yummy!)
Our waiter did an acceptable job, but the service was unacceptably SLOW from the start. Our party of 4 was not seated until 8:20 for our 8:00 dinner reservation. It took nearly an hour for our entrees to arrive. And when they did finally come, 3 were served together and the 4th followed several minutes later (long enough for everyone's meals to get cold)
The restaurant is also extremely LOUD! (We were in a room with about 5-6 tables)
We won't be going back any time soon"

I liked it because it is dark and has candles. It is lively. Went with another couple. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

"Perhaps 'full bar' does not mean all type drinks are available (even the web doesn't offer a definition), but no blender drinks or 'hard' ciders or lemonades in today's scene not expected. Waiter seemed overwhelmed. Had to ask for additional H2O. And no inquiry on whether anyone wanted a a second drink was met with a 'you don't care, then no we don't care to order another drink'. All agreed another bar drink would have been ordered. The food was very good, and there was no extensive wait even though restaurant seemed pretty full. We were last to leave, around 9ish. The room temp became very cool. Would have lingered longer if the temp had been reset to meet the reduced diner population. Another round may have been ordered."

"This was our third visit since they opened on 10/4 and was not as good as the first two. It was crowded in restaurant with a couple of large parties and so noisy we could hardly hear ourselves talk, it was very upsetting. Our waitress was not as attentive as she should have been. The food was very good as in the previous two times. I will go back because I do like it but ask to sit at the high top tables or the bar, or maybe go during the week."

"Everything was excellent except for the unbelievable noise level. We were seated in the
main dining room & practically had to shout at one another (only 3 people in our party) to be heard. As we exited the dining room, we saw another diner sitting with both hands clamped over her ears & a grimace on her face! If the restaurant could dampen the noise level somehow, it would probably become one of my favorite places...
